PhD students participated in 2016 LERU Summer School

Two PhD students of Nagasaki University participated in the League of European Research Universities (LERU) doctoral summer school in Leiden, the Netherlands, from July 10 to 15, 2016.

The summer school is held every year by LERU, and this year through the courtesy of Leiden University Medical Center/Leiden University, the organizer for this year, a special invitation was extended to the Six National Universities International Education and Research System (SixERS), namely, Chiba University, Kanazawa University, Kumamoto University, Nagasaki University, Niigata University and Okayama University.
Ms. Chantal Ama Agbemabiese, a 3rd year student at the Nagasaki University Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences, and Dr. Keita Iyama, a 4th year student of the graduate school, have worked along the theme Data Stewardship for Scientific Discovery and Innovation among other doctoral students from prominent research universities in Europe

The knowledge acquired through the lectures at the summer school as well as through discussions with other students and senior researchers from the LERU member universities will be a valuable asset for their future careers in scientific research.
