The research group of Prof. Keisuke Umakoshi and Ass. Prof. Shinnosuke Horiuchi in Division of Chemistry and Materials Science, Graduate School of Engineering succeeded in the construction of highly emissive host-guest complexes based on coordination compounds within a self-assembled molecular capsule. The present approach can open up broad prospects for designing new luminescent materials based on encapsulated metal complexes within self-assembled cages.
