Mr. Chen Che-Tsung
He has gained outstanding accomplishments in the advancement of Taiwan's world of education as well as through his research in fisheries oceanography.

Mr. Osamu Shimomura
He discovered green fluorescent protein for the first time in the world, and has offered distinguished attainments in life science research.

Mr. Shigeo Fukuchi
He has won extraordinary achievements in the betterment of Japan's industrial world and made significant contributions to society in arts and culture.
He also served as chairperson of the Nagasaki University Presidential Nominations Committee and as president of the Faculty of Economics alumni association "Keirin Kai" to supervise and support the University.
With these contributions, as a graduate, he has earned great fame for Nagasaki University.

Mr. Tetsuya Iseki
He has made prominent achievements for improvement in the medical world of Nagasaki, and secured international attainments as president of the Nagasaki Association for Hibakushas' Medical Care.
He also served as president of the Nagasaki University Alumni Association and of the School of Medicine Alumni Association to lead and assist the University.
With these contributions, as a graduate, he has furthered Nagasaki University's prestige.

Ms. Shisono Hisamatsu
She has earned remarkable attainments in the progress of nursing science. She has also devoted herself to promoting peace education activities and founded "Nagasaki Nyoko no Kai" to foster the spirit inherited from the late Dr. Takashi Nagai: "Love your neighbor like you love yourself."
She received the "Florence Nightingale Medal" in recognition of her lifelong sincere nursing and peace aspiring efforts.
With these contributions, as a graduate, she has furthered Nagasaki University's good name.
