TICAD8 SIDE EVENT Planetary Health in Africa: Nagasaki University’s Contribution to the World

Nagasaki University (NU) has contributed to better health care in Africa since it sent a faculty member there for the first time in 1964. Today, NU has an oversea office in Kenya and tries to expand our areas of cooperation including environment and social development as the university aims “Planetary health.”
This symposium will overview how Nagasaki University and research institutes in Africa have worked on projects together in the past and discuss what we will need and how we can cooperate to realize “Planetary health” in the future.
