The Center for Japanese Language and Student Exchange held its entrance ceremony for new international students

  On Tuesday, April 4, 2023, the Center for Japanese Language and Student Exchange held its entrance ceremony for new international students at the Bunkyo Sky Hall. A total of 27 students attended, including 26 Japanese Language and Culture Program (JLCP) students and one Japanese Government Scholarship student.
 During the ceremony, the Director of the Center for Japanese Language and Student Exchange delivered an acceptance speech, expressing his warm welcome to the new students.
The representatives of the students then took an oath and introduced themselves to each other, marking the beginning of their journey at Nagasaki University. The Director emphasized the importance of not only studying the Japanese language, but also experiencing Japanese culture and the unique aspects of Nagasaki's long history. He encouraged the students to make the most of their time at Nagasaki University and explore the richness of Japanese culture.
 The JLCP students will be studying Japanese language and culture for either six months or one year at Nagasaki University, while the Japanese Government Scholarship student will study Japanese language and culture for six months and then proceed to the Graduate School of Nagasaki University.
The entrance ceremony was a special occasion to welcome the new international students to Nagasaki University and to inspire them to make the most of their time in Japan, immersing themselves in the language, culture, and history of Nagasaki.
