Guests from Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) Paid a Courtesy Visit to Trustee Ito

　On March 6, Dr. Syed Ibrahim from the Vellore Institute of Technology (VIT) and Dr. Sumit J Darak and Dr. Anuj Grover from Indraprastha Institute of Information Technology Delhi (IIIT-D) paid a courtesy visit to Trustee Ito of Nagasaki University.
　Nagasaki University and VIT/IIITD have been collaborating since 2022 when they signed an academic cooperation agreement and a memorandum of understanding for student exchange. As a part of these agreements, a professor and 2 students from VIT were invited to Nagasaki University to participate in a program to learn and discuss the field of AI and to learn about Nagasaki's culture. There was also interest in improving bilateral student exchange between our institutions.
　During the courtesy visit, discussions were mainly focused on the 3+1 program. In this program, the School of Information and Data Sciences of Nagasaki University (SIDSNU) and IIIT-D/VIT faculty teach intensive courses which will be offered at Nagasaki University. IIIT-D/VIT students will be able to take these courses and earn credits.
　We hope that this meeting will lead to the further strengthening of the cooperative relationship between our institutions.
