2024 Entrance Ceremony for New International Students Hosted by the Center for Japanese Language and Student Exchange

On April 1, 2024 (Monday), the entrance ceremony for new international students took place at the Bunkyo Sky Hall. This ceremony is typically held in April and October, and this year, a total of 40 students enrolled. Of these, 33 students were enrolled in the Japanese Language and Culture Program (JLCP) at the International Student Education and Support Center, and 7 were government-sponsored international students receiving preparatory education.

At the entrance ceremony, the Director of the Center for Japanese Language and Student Exchange gave an acceptance speech and a farewell address. Additionally, the student representatives took an oath and introduced themselves.

JLCP students will study the Japanese language and culture for six months or one year before returning to their home countries. On the other hand, government-sponsored international students will study the Japanese language and culture for six months before joining the Graduate School of Nagasaki University.
